Camp Counselor

Worked as a camp counselor responsible for the wellbeing, safety, and development of campers throughout the summer. This role developed exponentially as I continued to serve the Scouts. I started off leading the cub scouts in their activities then transitioned to an area lead for more flexibility, so I could also help with climbing activities. I would then fully transition to being a counselor for the older scout program where I led high adventure programs and trips.

• Supervised and mentored a group of 12-18 campers daily
• Lead over 150 children each summer in climbing, canoeing, kayaking, camping, and bushcraft skills
• Responded to camper needs and resolved conflicts effectively
• Collaborated with fellow counselors to deliver a positive camp experience
• Evacuated a participant from a kayaking overnight trip to the Boston Harbor Islands
