SubLink is a web application designed to connect Boston College students searching for off-campus housing over the summer with those looking for sublettors to fill vacancies. The platform is scoped to the BC community but built with hooks to expand if needed. Notable features include separate views for renters and those listing rooms, the ability to switch user roles, and an automatic matching system to pair compatible users. Safety was a core focus: users can hide their own profiles, report others, and administrators can ban individuals who violate site rules. Built with Django and Google OAuth by a team of five, this project highlighted the challenges of collaborative development. We followed the full Software Engineering process with an agile approach, running weekly sprints tracked on our own sprint board to plan and deliver features incrementally. The site is live and deployed — note that the main application requires a BC login to access.
